Managing the fish seeds and ensure their survival.
What you'll learn
- The nursing processes:
- i. Aeration
- ii. Feeding with natural food organisms (plankton) after four days
- iii. Introduction of artificial feeds (powdered feeds after one week)
- Management processes:
- i. Separating dead/unfertilized eggs from the hatchlings
- ii. Monitoring water quality (especially the Dissolved Oxygen (DO), temperature, etc)
- iii. Transferring outdoors to nursery tanks/ponds after 21 days
- iv. Sorting the shooters/jumpers from the stunts.
- v. Rear or raise the jumpers separate from the stunts.
